Braun Day Treatment
Braun Day Treatment provides therapeutic day treatment for youth ages 5-18 who struggle with severe mental health disorders which interfere with their educational progress. Braun crafts individual treatment plans for each youth that are implemented by a coordinated team of counselors, teachers and certified therapists. Individual and group therapy can take the form of improvisational drama, music lessons, poetry readings or yoga. Work with the family includes family therapy and close collaboration and support. Students also hold jobs that give them the skills necessary to be successful in the community. The hope is that students will mainstream to less restrictive local public schools or complete the credits necessary to graduate from Braun. Braun is operated in conjunction with the Marin County Departments of Education and Mental Health.
