Integrated Mental Health Services for Foster Youth
BAYC operating as the East Bay division of Sunny Hills Services, is a certified Medi-Cal mental health services provider and currently provides assessment, treatment and support services for over 75 youth and their families each year through contracts with Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

Marsha Vaughn, Clinical Director, BAYC
Marsha has worked with transition age youth, adolescents and their families for over 13 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design in New York. She gained management experience at Bankers Trust Corporation before returning to school and earning a master's degree in social work from New York University. She interned at Covenant House in New York matching youth with mentors, and at Cabrini Medical Center Continuing Day Treatment Program where she provided group and individual psychotherapy to chronic psychiatric patients. In 1995, Marsha relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area and began her career with Bay Area Youth Centers as a social worker in a group home for young men. To gain experience in individual and group therapy with severely emotionally disturbed adolescents, Marsha joined the Seneca Center Day Treatment program in 2000 as a therapist. In 2003, she returned to BAYC as Clinical Director and licensed clinical social worker where she supervises a team of registered social workers, leads groups and has provides individual psychotherapy to clients. She also conducts agency-wide trainings on mental health issues. Marsha has been instrumental in implementing BAYC’s mental health contract with Alameda County. She also serves on the Foster Care Mentoring Oversight Committee.
